The point I was trying to make was that, yes, our environment is horrible, but teaching children the tools to survive is important. Do we send them out in the dark without them knowing what to expect?
If we don’t teach them, are we setting them up to fail? As a child, I wasn’t prepared for anything and was chewed up and spit out. What if someone had taught me how to live with a broken mind in a broken society?
I don’t think we should send our children into battle without a sword.
