I had a lot of fear publishing this article. First, I wasn’t happy with it last night, and I felt others would see what a fraud I was. Second, it was my first story for The Ascent and I wanted it to be good. I felt it wasn’t.

I published anyway, because dammit…Okay, just dammit. After reading it this morning, I realized I was having a bad day and it is not bad.
