Hey, Sid! Thanks for reading.
For me, I can justify it because everything about it is easier. For someone tired of just wanting to publish and not have to constantly update, get plugins, and have a separate place where you administer host and another for WordPress, it is a dream. After so many years of hating WordPress but realizing there was nothing better, I am willing to pay the extra for something that works so well.
Also, Ghost has membership built right in. I always hated that the plugins for membership for WP were not only expensive but difficult to manage, and I am glad there are options like Ghost and others like Substack.
I am still unsure how well Ghost handles security, SEO, and high traffic, but from what I’ve seen it’s built for professionals who know how to do all that stuff, but would rather not mess with it.
How is that?
There is a lot more that I could say about it, but I would tell you to follow my newsletter and see how it all works out for me. If you do test out Ghost, let me know how it goes.
